After a long and tough eight-month period of medical visits, rehabilitation and a lot of sweat, Luca Paganini is back on the fields (since June 13th, 2018) and made his return on February 15th playing the last few minutes of the match against Juventus. Three knee injuries in a year and a half would knock anyone out, but not Luca Paganini. The Roman player proved his value and convinced Mr. Baroni, the team’s head coach, to confirm the number 7 on the starting line-up against Torino. Just before halftime, Luca's confidence was rewarded with a goal that opened the scoring after 42 minutes. Teammate Ciano crossed the ball from the right-hand side corner and Paganini, who lurking at the first post, smashed it past the goalkeeper with a powerful header.
Unfortunately, his goal was not enough for the team to achieve a positive result, but his performance certainly proved what he is capable of, displaying great strength and solid physical conditions from the 25-year-old.
Frosinone is looking for their first win in over a month, facing next Empoli on Sunday at 5:00pm. Empoli make their “debut” under the returning coach Aurelio Andreazzoli, the man that got them promoted from Serie B last season, after firing Coach Beppe Iachini earlier this week. Frosinone have lost only two of their last six Serie A away fixtures, winning two and kept three clean sheets. However, they will face a new re-structured team and battle it off this Sunday in another crucial game to avoid relegation.
Good luck, Luca!
